What is WriteSmart?

Writing advice is everywhere.

But most of it forgets one thing: the reader.

That’s where WriteSmart comes in.

I created WriteSmart to help writers, solopreneurs, and content creators connect with more readers—without losing their voice or burning out on content treadmills.

You won’t find trendy tips or recycled formulas here. Instead, WriteSmart blends:

  • Brain science and adult learning theory
  • Cognitive and engagement psychology
  • Reader-first strategy and story-driven insight

Because great writing isn’t just about expressing ideas—it’s about shaping experiences. And experiences are how readers remember, respond, and share.

My Story (aka: the Learning Geek Origin)

Hi, I’m Cameron.

I didn’t set out to write about writing. I set out to understand why I felt like my brain worked differently—and why most advice didn’t help.

During grad school, while earning my degree in adult education and technology-enhanced learning, I was forced to take the Kolb Learning Style Inventory. I rolled my eyes, expecting another fluffy personality test.

But that hour changed everything.

I finally saw my divergent thinking for what it was: a superpower, not a flaw. The very traits I had spent years suppressing turned out to be the key to my creativity—and my ability to learn, think, and connect in powerful ways.

Since then, I’ve been an evangelist for adult learning and cognitive flexibility. And over time, I saw a pattern: the same blocks I’d faced as a learner were showing up everywhere in writing.

  • Writers stuck in their own flow while their readers bailed.
  • Brilliant ideas lost in translation.
  • Content that didn’t land—not because it wasn’t good, but because it wasn’t readable for real humans.

WriteSmart exists to bridge that gap.
